When it comes to timber flooring, the real difference lies in knowing how to install it perfectly. The Lumber Mart installation method is a time-tested patented system created in house in collaboration with Bona of Sweden that has yielded consistent results. It requires technology and expertise that can only come from years of research and experience. Discerning customers know that what they don’t see under the timber flooring is actually more critical in determining its durability and beauty. It is our duty to ensure the wood that we installed will last a lifetime of the purchaser. That is why they call in the experts – because at Lumber Mart, we know our wood.

For indoor flooring, our patented Ventilated Batten System is designed to minimized capillary action in the event of moisture attacking the floor and is proven to be termite resistant. The Ventilated Batten System uses the tongue-and-groove flooring that is laid on top of 10mm thick battens made of chengalwood, one of the hardiest tropical hardwoods. This ensures that the flooring is ventilated, stays resistant to moisture, humidity and dreaded termites.

Lumber Mart’s tongue and groove jointing method features timber floorboards with a crumple-zone groove line at the bottom of the floor. It is designed to reduce stress on the floor in the event of any moisture attacking the floor, keeping damage to the minimum. Our uniquely-cut tongue and groove joints allow for perfect jointing between each piece of the floorboards, to ensure not only a flooring of superior inter-locking strength but a really flat and even surface.
